Alt-indie artist Rachel Chinouriri has returned with a live acoustic version of her fantastic track, ‘The Hills’. The stripped-back sound of this new recording allows her voice and lyrics to take centre stage, with each hook shimmering over warm guitar chords. The track is designed to unpack feelings around identity and the search for the comfort of home. “I was in LA having a pretty terrible time. I didn’t feel like I connected with many people musically or in general, and I was stressed out about lots of things in my personal life,” she says. “I started writing about how I felt and in that moment I realised the UK truly is my home.” Keep an eye out for her London headline show on March 6th, 2024. -Dan Peeke
